The real life switcher is the technician, cabler, data center guy who is connecting devices using transceivers and fiber cables.
The design copies the style of a Tarot card and does not show the full switcher. He is berried under the tangled cables. Probably his mind is travelling with the speed of light and is faster than the internet. Unless he is dead under the tangled cables.
Some say that the switchers are immortal. More like undead or zombie. Some say this is just a joke.
